I might just use this account for advertising my other sites, because people are rude on here. It's no wonder many people deactivated and left. (Dunno why I stayed here for so long....)

Edit: Still thinking, but no worries, I will have my watchers in mind and think of something that works.

Good thing I never go to the front page search then. XD

I can't stand inflation and all that other nasty stuff too.

Oh god yeah you won't believe how many fetish art I came across. The horror of them all is I found a Death the Kid inflation drawing..... I found a DA filter though that seems to be working okay. but it'll take a while to filter all the stuff I don't want to see.

It's based on luck really and if you browse and comment a lot on others profiles/art. I just said "hi welcome to Deviantart" to one person that was new and they thought I said "I want free art" and told me off. I dunno how that is possible 'cause he said DA did that and screwed up the message, even though I've never seen something like that happen anywhere before even though DA is quite buggy.

Also, I am tired of seeing all the disgusting art of body inflation, MLP, Feet fetishes, giant fetishes, and vore on the front search page, seeing posts that are not anime and memes in the manga/anime art category, art thieves, porn, ads that if you block they keep bothering you to undo it, inflated core prices, thank you for... comments, points, contests, and group beggars messaging me to join or give them points, people blocking me for no reason, etc. there's just too much on here that drives people nuts. I love DA, but at the same time hate it because I have the most followers here than any other site and more options to advertise, but then again hardly anyone is active and some people are rude on here. I do hope at least some of my watchers on here will follow me on the other sites I'll use, because some have been watching me for a long time now with no problems.

It's reading between the lines. Some people think that when other people are suddenly all "hi" that they want something (and believe me, it is sometimes the case; I've even done it sometimes irl). They're trying to anticipate and determine a person's motives so that they don't get hurt in the long run.

Yeah the fetish thing is a bit... ehhh >*< . But honestly, you're going to encounter that on any site; hell, Google is a HUGE example of this. Deviantart is just one of the more popular art sites, where it's easier to find certain works of art (versus tumblr, pinterest, etc. where it's always like pulling teeth trying to show off art/find original artist). I've definitely seen some stuff on Pinterest I wish I could unsee. Hell, I wish anytime I wanted to look for Riku fanart, I didn't see yaoi Soriku fanart instead, but that's life. You just gotta limit to yourself on how much you care about it, otherwise it's going to bug you, no matter where you go.

Makes good sense, but they didn't say the same thing they did to me to others that said "hi welcome to Deviantart" too, so I don't think that's the case.

There's actually a way to make it so you don't see certain stuff on Google search. starryberri.tumblr.com/post/15… this was a major find for me when I don't want to see certain stuff on Google. Also there is a Chrome extension that blocks certain keywords on Tumblr so I don't have to see any posts of stuff I don't want to see, and then I just found now that there's a filter for Deviantart, which I am going to try now and see how well it does. For Pixiv I had no problems with it yet, I'd say that site is very well mannered and taken care of.
